Kite festival for older kids

My boys are 13 and 11.

I know it’s hard to say but does anyone have kids this age that would enjoy the kite festival this weekend? Should I go later for the competitions? I don’t think they would want to make their own or fly One but maybe watch the competitive times.

Any thoughts?
Looks like great weather on Saturday but don’t want to go if all I’ll hear is “this is boring” or “can we go now”...

Thanks for asking; I have a a 12 and a 14 year old and we were also considering going. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

My 12 yo nearly ruined it for my 7 and 9 yo last year. Said it was babyish and was being really difficult. It was a bummer.
