Chile was the better team. After the US goal, most US players could not handle Chile's press. They either made a bad pass, booted it aimlessly, or had it stolen. Chile appeared to take their foot off the gas in the second half and not press for another goal.
I was disappointed with Horvath. He's calm with the ball at his feet and his distribution was pretty good for the most part. He seemed slow off of his line to snuff out trouble in some situations. There was also a sequence in the second half where it seemed he did not call off Gonzalez on a bouncing ball near the end line either fast enough or authoritatively enough which resulted in Omar conceding a needless corner.
Zardes had a few nice plays and some terrible plays. Bradley is to slow of mind and foot to control the midfield in a match like this.
What a shame McKinney and Adams were not available. I would have loved to see how those two, McKinney in particular, stack up to Vidal who remains a beast.
