Urgent: Everyone who migrated to Verizon Fios from DSL / Verizon Landline, CHECK your Bill NOW

Urgent: All Verizon former landline / now Fios Customers: review your bill for possible over charges of $$$$ if you no longer use a landline
I strongly urge anyone who has had long term phone service from Verizon and later migrated to Fios to carefully look at your Verizon bill as see if you , like me, have been billed for years for a landline service that you no longer use or need to connect to the Internet ( Fios available to us all since 2015 uses fiberoptic, not the old copper wire DSL did ) . I just learned today that , though I have not had a physical landline phone in my home for 10 years , I have been billed by Verizon as if I did have one in use to the tune of an extra $ 240 a year for YEARS. This continued even AFTER Verizon converted my access lines to Fios.
All Verizon customers: check your bill for the vague fee term of " Regional Essentials" at a rate of $19.99/mos. Verizon does not state clearly that this is a charge for landline service , but if you see that charge category on your bill it is not just another DC tax. It is a bill for monthly landline usage through Verizon.
If you see this charge and you want it removed now because you don't use a landline or haven't for years, call Verizon resolutions supervisor at 1 844 837 2262. The call will be routed to Verizon supervisor in Maryland . Ask for Crystal or Ms Brown .
If anyone has experience filing with the FCC or DC Utility Commission, please contact me.
