Are the men in OKCupid particularly awful?

They all seem like neckbeards and weirdos. Other sites are better?

I just have to ask... what exactly are these guys doing that's so awful? I am a 54yo male on OKC and try to be respectful, courteous, and kind to everyone I message - and I NEVER am searching for hookups or ONS.

So many women have written in their profile: "Please be honest..." "Please write more than 'DTF?' in your message..." and my fav: "If your profile is you shirtless with a fish you caught please don't bother..."

Is this really what most guys do? If so, they're giving us a bad rep!!!

I wrote here a few day the guys 40-58 with graduate degrees mostly look like axe murderers and no one believed me.

The women look great so PP who is 54, you should be having fun!

What do people think about when men have pictures with their kids? A lot of guys in that age group are dads.

It is much more inappropriate when women post photos of their kids. A magnet for pedos and perverts. I saw one in which a woman posted photos of her two teenage daughters - just asking for trouble.

I don't think kid pictures are appropriate.

Well, I married a guy I met on OKCupid.....

OKC is one of the older apps. Online dating, which is about technology, benefits from new and innovative ways of connecting. There will be another app to replace Bumble soon.

What's a neckbeard?

I'm a married woman who was on OKC and was upfront that I was married. I was amazed at how many men contacted me stating they were also married, but their profile indicated they were single and made no mention of being married.

I saw at least 3-4 guys on OKC who claimed they were on Ninja Warrior. Thought that was weird.

Me too! I think I was on OKC for two weeks or so. I received tons of messages from men, but only two guys were “normal”. I married one of them

On average, I thought the men on OKC were less attractive than the men on Bumble but better educated than the men on Tinder.

I met my “friend” on OKCupid over two years ago. We tried to say goodbye a few times (life circumstances, etc) but we are madly in love with each other. It’s a bit crazy. He is an amazing man.
