Village Green Day School in Great Falls or other nearby options?

Anonymous
We recently moved to greatfalls and I’m looking for the best mix of play based and curriculum based preschool for my son within a 20 minute drive. I have him in a center based daycare now and am looking for a place with a better curriculum. I feel like I have not heard a lot of positives about village green but driving by it looks great and is close by. I work so I need at least 4 days a week -drop off before 9 and pick up ideally at 6, but earlier might be possible. The other preschools nearby seem to be only a few hours and not possible for a working mom. Any suggestions for nearby schools is very much appreciated or more information of pros and cons for village green. We will likely go to great Falls elementary when ds is 5. Also teachers with a 4 year college degree is important to me.

Thanks in advance

Oh and my son is 2.5

It’s a straight up daycare. If you need a daycare, it’s one of the few in the area so you may be stuck there. Lots of parents are miserable with the new guy in charge.

LANK or LePort are in Reston which isn’t too far

Preschools -- LANK in Reston is very popular. Good Shepherd Lutheran in Reston. St. Francis Creche in GF. United Christian Parish in Reston.

Daycare - Simon Center, Reston Childrens Center and Common Ground.

I've heard Village Green has gone downhill.

So what is wrong with the new guy in charge at village green? St Francis crèche is closeny but I think they don’t gave a full day program. I’ll look at country day too, thanks, any pros cons? I actually drove through the campus on the way to Clemyjontri but it seemed very small.

We started at VGDS Fall 2018. My son is in the 2's class, and we have really been happy with our experience so far. I actually expected much more of a daycare experience, but he comes home every day having learned something new, and he retains it as well. I've been very impressed with his teachers and the teacher/child ratio. Honestly, my only complaint is that the front door gets stuck often, and the carpool line - but that's usually because I'm running late...
The school must have been magical before based on all the complaints about it going "downhill."

No idea how to edit or add on to my comment, but I wanted to add that the "main" teacher for the class has a master's degree, and it shows.

Hi - just wondering if there were any updates on this school? Any current parents have feedback?

We have been with the school 3 years now and have lived through different administration transitions. Our children are quite happy and are pleased with the attention given to their proper placement for the right fit of teacher per student. Recent years have expanded daycare (we don't use, but many families do and are pleased) which would suit your needs.
