So why do I like him?

I know we could never be long term.

I know he's all talk and saying the " right thing" but really there's nothing there.

You have some sort of disconnect between the surface effect of "check all the boxes" and your understanding that the appearance doesn't match the substance. It's good you recognize the disconnect, but only you can find out the reason why. A good therapist will help you with your investigation.

Yup, I fell for a guy with NO substance who talked about himself non-stop and had a questionable or maybe non-existent moral compass. I mean i really have no clue what I found appealing about him other than sexual chemistry. That is a pretty powerful connector but very fleeting. So maybe that's your issue?
