| Anyone recommend any dvd workouts for post c section abs? I am nine weeks post op and by belly blubber doesn't let me fit into my work clothes. I have 3 weeks to lose some belly weight, and more. I would appreciate any suggestions...... |

OMG, I actually started laughing the first time I tried to do ab exercises after my c-section. I tried to do leg lifts and could not lift my legs off the floor! Not an inch. So no matter what you do, start slow. It was almost refreshing to only have to do about 10 crunches and call it a work-out.
But, I found by far the exercise to "thin" yourself out is the exercise where you basically practice holding in your stomach muscles. Contract them (think of trying to pulls your muscles into the center of your back) and try to hold for a few seconds, and then repeat. Once you get that down, try variations such as contract and then contract again. Or try to hold for 30 seconds. I read about this while i was pregnant (that if pregnant woman did this exercise, their body came back faster). I find even know (3 years later) if I do these every day, I am much "thinner" then when I don't do them (oh - how I have tested this theory over and over). I try to do about 10 sets of 10 repetitions. But that may be too much for you right now. You could also do them several times a day. |

This is the workout I've been doing since after my 6-week check-up. There isn't a single ab crunch in the entire video, however, the third progression is pretty challenging.
