| When our daughter was 3 or 4 years old -- we had the terrible misfortune of having her tested by someone else at the Wake Kendall Group -- Margaret something. She told us our daughter was "low average". We had to drive over 1 hour each day to take her to an alternative school since she couldn't get into any of the traditional schools. Fast forward to the present -- our daughter is now at the highest ranked Ivy League School. That horrible woman at Wake Kendall nearly ruined her future. She thought our daughter was so dumb -- she didn't like her "alternative answers". The best one I can remember -- why are windows opened? Our daughter said ... "to let butterflies fly through". The lady thought that was the dumbest thing she'd ever heard. Fortunately, we figured the lady was the dumb one -- not our daughter. Stay away from that place just in case they put you with that terrible woman. |

Maria Zimmitti (I think she also goes by Zimmitti Cohn) is fabulous. She gave our DC the WPPSI twice and it was a thoroughly pleasant experience. I highly recommend her. |
| We have had good experiences with Maria Zimitti and Mary Alice Silverman at Wake Kendall. There have also been positive reviews of various testers at EAA. I wouldn't go crazy looking for the perfect tester, especially since your child's WPPSi score is not the be-all and end-all when it comes to admissions. I think there are quite a few experienced testers in the area who are good with young children. |
Hopefully more than a year apart, LOL! |
Ha ha...yes, more than a year apart. Virtually no difference in scores...not sure why some schools require kids to retake the test if applying for the following year. |
