| Ideas? Open to with kids options and without kids. If with, prefer somewhere with a kids club of sorts. Thanks!! |
| When I looked into this, all I could find was Puerto Rico, Aruba, and the Bahamas. I think we'll probably resign ourselves to a connection and try Grand Cayman instead. But I'd love to hear about other direct options also. |
| Mardi Gras is in February this year! Direct flight to New Orleans on U.S. Airways....and Southwest from BWI. It can be very kid-friendly, if you steer clear of Bourbon Street. |

Dominican Republic. A few hours flight, direct charters out of Baltimore, package rates available for kid-friendly all inclusive resorts with children's activities.
Downside is that it is not a very nice country but U.S. standards so you might feel somewhat stuck in the resort. Upside is that it's pretty affordable for a Carribean vacation and the resorts make it very easy to relax and enjoy. They even have golf carts to get you from one end of the resort to the other if need be. We did it when DD was 3. Very easy, relaxing trip. |
| Does BWI count as DC? Air Jamaica has a daily direct flight to Montego Bay from BWI. |

Ritz Carlton San Juan
has a kids program http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/SanJuan/Childrens/Default.htm |
| We went to Cancun last February with 6 month DD on a direct flight out of Dulles. |
| Virgin America is having airfare sales from Dulles to LA non-stop for $250 r/t. LA, I've heard, is sunny. |
