Would you pick a preschool with a friend or one that is closer?

I have a friend who lives close to us but in a different school pyramid. I like this Mom a lot and our youngest kids are the same age. We just moved and she is my first friend.

I’m torn between sending my child to preschool with hers (15min drive) or one that is closer (10min).

I don’t mind the extra 5 minutes but the kids from preschool won’t be going to the same elementary vs the closer one half the preschool goes on to our zoned elementary.

Save yourself the time AND have your kid get to know kids he's going to go to school with.

Closer. Your kid will inevitably make new friends at preschool, and it’ll suck when they are farther away because you chose the school for one friend.
