Rainbow scratch art mess Help!

| Our daughter got a sheet of rainbow scratch paper out, got shavings on the couch and tried to clean them up herself. Now we have black streaks all over the couch. Does anybody know how to clean the fabric or what that black stuff is made out of? |

I think it is more likely some sort of paint. I also thought it was waxy or crayon at first, but it doesn't feel like it. |

| Don't know if this will work, but I got latex house paint out of carpet using a bowl of liquid dish soap and water, a white rag, and lots of blotting/patience. |

| If it's the Melissa & Doug brand, they have a phone number on their products that you can call. Might be worth a try to ask what clean up they recommend to get that black coating off of upholstery. |
