What's the best true crime docs right now?
Recently I liked Dear Zachary, and Abducted in Plain Sight. What else is good, if you're into this stuff. (If you haven't seen Dear Zachary, it's heartbreaking, but don't read any spoilers about it. Someone else told me that, and while watching it I forgot and googled someone involved and it was a huge spoiler) |
| Did you watch the Staircase? |

On Amazon prime - 3801 Lancaster, about an illegal late term abortion clinic in West Philadelphia.

I started it but couldn't get into it at the time. Willing to try again. I generally prefer a short series or single episode, since I get too busy to keep up sometimes. |
| Have you seen Valentine Road? I was totally transfixed. |
|
The Versace series, although it’s not done in documentary style.
I liked the staircase. What about Surviving R. Kelley? |
I posted before seeing you want short. What about Dateline and 48 hours? Those would be perfect for short and sweet crime documentaries. |
Which platform is this on? |
HBO |
| The slenderman one was insanely good IMO, it’s either on showtime or HBO |
|
Making a Murderer.

|
Evil Genius
Lorena Bobbitt |
I enjoy true crime stories but I couldn't make it through this one. That's how disturbing it is. |
So sad. That school really failed so many kids. |

Who took Johnny- Netflix
Sad, but interesting to hear how different people’s attitudes were about kidnapping. |
