How do Mclean parents feel about playing NCSL?

Anonymous
Not bashing just asking? Do they realize they're playing 2nd and 3rd tier teams? How are they doing good in tournments?

I assume you're trolling, but I'll make a couple of points anyway:

1. Some of the teams in the top divisions of NCSL can compete with any team in the fancier leagues. The top-ranked team in my kid's age division on GotSoccer was an NCSL team.

2. The McLean teams that are playing NCSL are not the A teams at McLean, so I would assume they might expect to play the B-C-D teams from other large clubs.

At U11-U12 McLeans top team is NCSL. And parents are NOT happy. At the other age groups McLeans 3rd and 4th teams are playing NCSL which is appropriate.

Please keep in mind that there are clubs that plays in NCSL up to U11 that are not tiered teams (ie A Team, B Team, etc.) yet where the A Team is composed of the best players. MSI U11G has two teams (White & Green) which are pretty even and both have almost an even amount unskilled players. They placed player randomly. I have no idea what age group MSI Academy will start tiering there teams.

So it’s somewhat unfair for an A Team (McLean) to go against other non-tier teams in NCSL when McLean played NCSL during the Fall Season.

U12 Boys Green team went 6-2-1 in the 2nd division in the Fall. That was good enough for 3rd place of 10 teams and gets them promoted to Division 1 for this Spring. Some notes on their Fall games are a 6-5 win over Calverton and a 4-3 win over Barca. They had two seemingly "easy" wins of 4-0 and 6-0 though. I don't think there is anything to be upset about with the competition last Fall, and the Spring will be tough.

If they think they are going to play up in Division 1 of NCSL and boat race the competition, they may be in for a few surprises.

Barca doesn't do NCSL, must be a different club.

I feel for Mclean there U11 and U12 must be mad about playing low level teams they have to wait until U13 just to get good competition.

It's not the Barca Academy out in Loudoun. It's the SDoradus club in Springfield area.

I know the girls are strong but McLean boys 08 teams did not do so well in NCSL! Really poor records. I was shocked to see that the 08 green team was placed in divison 1 after going like 2-6. I don't think they will do well! I don't think the 09 teams are all that strong either. I assume that, other than the green team, they will be mid to bottom tier in NCSL.
