Should I ask MY DS teacher what's going on?

long shorty short, my DS is receiving imessage on our Ipad. Today I was using the ipad and got a message from "cutie jackie" saying " Y R U ALWAYS IN TROUBLE LOL ? I never received any email or phone calls from teachers re his behavior. He does take Concerta to control his ADHD, but I am wondering if he is getting trouble in school will the teachers tell me?

Last quarter he had a most B'S and C's. Should I email his teachers for a following up to see how his doing in school?

How old is your DC? It may be a good idea to check in with your DC's teacher.

13 - 7th grader

I would not - if it is too big of an issue, they will call you.

I would not worry about that message at all if his grades are good and he is acting responsibly at home.

But since you are concerned, please first ask your kid what the message was about before you reach out to anyone at school. He's a 7th grader, not a 3rd grader.

And frankly that message could have many different meaning.
