Suggestion of Temporary Prepaid phone plan - Help !

My friend is traveling back to Canada from here. She needs to use phone at Buffalo airport and they have an old iphone5 (unlock, but no cell plan on it right now). Any suggestion for a temporary prepaid cell plan(SIM card) for maybe just one day use. Thanks!

I used to travel in and out of the US with an unlocked iPhone and would use AT&T. They have prepaid plans. Might be expensive for just one day,though
