Does BFing really cause saggy breasts?

Anonymous
I’m curious if BFing really does cause sagging or if it’s pregnancy in general (weight gain/loss). Please help by taking this quiz!

I will start.

Did you BF? yes
Pre-pregnancy size/shape: small B/perky
Current size/shape: A/saggy

Yes, 2 kids for a total of 3.5 years
Small B/ perky
Youngest is 10 - size B/C still sitting where I want them

I think it's a combo but mostly oregnamcy.

Did you BF? yes
Pre-pregnancy size/shape: nice D perky
End of pregnancy shape: DDD - I was at DD by week 15.
3 years PP Size/shape: D/and a little softer and saggier than before pregnancy

Pregnant again and they are already at DDD at 12 weeks. Pretty much first sign of pregnancy for me. So it won't matter if I breastfeed this time, they'll still have to come down from this size again and be stretched out.

No, I BF two babies and stayed the same. I think it has more to do with density of the tissue.

Yes, a little bit. Nipples never went back to pink either.

Nah. I had perky ones until menopause hit at 52 and my estrogen dropped. Breast fed for 2 years in my 30’s.

It's mainly hereditary. I breast fed two and don't have saggy breasts. Size D cup.

Both will do a number on your breasts. Pregnancy starts the sagging process, breastfeeding will lead to more volume loss, shape changes, and nipple issues.

Same though they aren’t as perky as before, but they aren’t pancakes like some people say on here. Areolas are darker and bigger though.

I didn’t BF but two pregnancies and age still did a number on my boobs. Can’t avoid that. I think BFing mostly causes changes to your nipples, making them more prominent and stuff.

How do you know that it is breastfeeding and not pregnancy that has caused the change?

Yeah, oh well, at least we had almost 40 years with perky ones, right?

Like anything with your body, I think genetics and age play a huge role. I had amazing boobs - 34D perfectly round, they looked like they could be fake. 2 babies and 2 years of breastfeeding in my 30’s and now they’re a little sadder - 34B/C and droopier. Much less dense, when I bed forward they look like flat torpedoes
