Pls recommend shampoo and conditioner for toddler

Took DD (3 years old) for a haircut today and there were a lot of knots in her hair. The hairstylist asked if we use baby shampoo and I said yes. We use Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo and conditioner and she said that's not good enough for DD who has a lot of hair. She suggested using kids shampoo. Any recommendations?

I personally like honest brand and their spray in detangler

I was using regular shampoos for my kids at that age (a very little amount just to get lather). My daughter had thick hair and johnson's didn't work for her.

Whoops only read the title.

For knots you need morroccon or argon oil conditioner. Lots of it. Shampoo doesn’t matter.

I use Giovanni brand from WF. Both for shampoo and I love their direct leave in conditioner. I condition towel dried hair and brush it out. We also use fairy tales spray and a wide comb every morning. Dd (3) has shoulder length wavy thick hair. We also get haircuts 3 times a year to keep it not scraggly.

My DD has always had very long thick hair and lots of it. We used Burt's Bees until she was 7, and then switched to live clean coconut shampoo and coconut conditioner. She doesn't get many tangles though, I put coconut nut oil in her hair every week. I suggest adding a good conditioner to the mix.

My 3 yo DD has long thick hair. I tried so many “kids” shampoos and conditioners with no luck. I used my Aveda on her for awhile but adult products aren’t tear free. We’ve been using the kids Wen shampoo- which is really a cleaning conditioner for a few months now and I love it! No more tangles! It’s expensive but worth it for us and I like that it’s just one step- not separate shampoo and conditioner.

We use Suave for Kids Purely Fun shampoo and conditioner (no parabens, no dyes, no tears) and then the Suave for Kids spray detangler. The bonus is it is widely available (I usually pick ours up at Target).

Do not use Wen on your DD. Stay away from it!
