Best skateboard for a 5 year old?

| My son has asked for a skateboard since he was 2. It's time. What should I get him? I want one that doesn't go too fast, as he doesnt' know what he's doing and has no fear. |

| Where do you live? It would be best if you went to a skate shop and got assistance with buying one and putting it together. |

| Doesn't go too fast? Skateboards are human powered, a 5 year old won't go too fast unless you point him down a steep hill. Just get a smallish deck (6.5-7 in width) with a cool graphic. Buy a good helmet. |

| Glad we’re not the only ones who dealt with this! We got our 5yo a morfboard. It can be a scooter or a skateboard so he could figure out how to balance first and then take the handle off. |
