I’d say at least 80% of the incoming calls on my cell are robocalls. And like 99% of unknown numbers.
Here’s my dilemma. I work in a small medical group that covers an ICU. Practically, for the purposes of this question, this means I have to leave my phone on at night, and I have to answer unknown numbers all the time I’m not at work. During an emergency, someone could call from the hospital line or their cell. It’s hard to predict. I know I can block all numbers except “known” numbers, but I have to have a way for real people to contact me. Is there any technological solution out there. I just get 100 robocalls for every actual emergency call - they are really rare. I was thinking of something like a message that asked a caller to enter in some numbers ... or so something simple to identify as a real person before the call would go through. Does such a thing exist? Even better would be a screening system that allowed me to accept known numbers and pre - screen unknown ones. That’s just me spitballing, though, I’d love any solution. I have literally been in an emegency situation and answered calls that were spam/robocalls. (Everyone uses cells now... so, for example, if I page a cardiologist, they call my cell, often from a cell I don’t recogniE) |
Pay for NoMoRobo http://www.nomorobo.com/

Did you try contacting nomorobo? |
we shouldn't have to do this. the phone companies should get a handle on this. I pay for an unlisted number, I shoould have ot pay for a service above and beyond. Hell, give me a member of congress state, federal, ect that would put this on their "things I'lll change if elected" if vote for them. I don't care what else they wanted to do. |
