Got pregnant accidentally and then had another by choice (they are now 10 and 5). I find myself actively avoiding them. My husband does all the getting up and making lunches and playtimes etc. I work a lot. My job is demanding. And I honestly just want to be left alone when I’m not working.
What is wrong with me?!? |
| Nothing- some people don’t like kids! It’s too late for you not to have them, so just try your hardest not to mess them up emotionally. Fake liking it/them as best you can. |
| Not to worry, they know. |
| Troll |

The 10 year old should have their own interests by now so that’ll give you a break
What about sending them to family members on the weekend? We all need a break, nothing wrong with it |
Not sure how to prove it, but I’m not a troll. |
| I felt the same way. Then I started taking Zoloft and it changed my life. I love being around the kids now! I also have very demanding job. Really wish I’d gotten on Zoloft sooner. Didn’t even realize I was depressed. |
| This just pisses me off. Get professional help. |
| Mommy dearest, no one likes you. You may not be an internet troll, but a troll in real life. We feel sorry for your kids. |
| You prioritize your job over your children. Get counseling please before you screw them up forever. |
| Child Protective Services real case. |
| I grew up with a mom who needed professional mental health help. It still impacts me to this day. She had no interest in us. I started doing my own laundry in 1st grade. I agree with PP. This is a CPS case. |
Good grief. Someone says they avoid their kids and work a lot and you equate that with child abuse. I came from an emotionally and physically abusive home and wish someone has intervened there. That is not being exhausted, likely depressed, and avoiding your kids leaving them to the other nurturing parent. |

Well that's really sad, OP. I hope your spouse loves your kids to bits. |
| You might be depressed |
