If your preschool directors partied with select current parents

And posted pictures on Facebook where they also add parents what would you think? Assume you like the school for all general purposes.

I wouldn’t like it at all. Very unprofessional

I wouldn’t care. It’s preschool.

Is your issue with the nature of the partying or that only some parents were invited?

Weird.
Weird and cliquey.

Household debate. One party thinks pathetic - like paying people to hang out - and elitist. They make decisions about class placement etc.

our school director came to kid's birthday party (couldn't make the second) when DS turned one. we later enrolled him. never gave it any thought.

I don’t think it’s ok for teachers to babysit their students after hours nor is it ok for the director to socialize with parents out of the school setting. If it was a school fundraiser and there were pictures from the function that would be fine. But on the directors personal Facebook page, with current select parents of the school, shows a complete lapse in judgement and of maintaining a professional boundary

It’s PRESCHOOL. It does not matter.

That didn't really answer the question.

Why doesn’t it matter in preschool? When does it start to matter to you?

Agree. The preschool director and teachers are regular people with lives. It's fine.

i'd probably feel differently about a preschool/daycare than a PK-8 or PK-12 school. If the former, who cares? If the latter, it's unprofessional.
