loud kids

I took DD to a public playspace and she saw one of her school friends there. They played the entire time. The boy was cute but WOW. He was screaming loudly the entire time and never stopped for 45 mins. My girls thought it was funny and they just went along with it and played. I was wondering if you think there was something wrong with him or is this normal boy behavior?

Him: LOOK OVER THERE AT THAT TREE! I SEE SOMETHING THERE! LET"S GET A BRANCH TO GET IT! GO TO THE OTHERSIDE I'LL MEET YOU THERE!......and on and on....never taking but 3 sec breaks for a breath. lol

I think there's definitely something wrong with you. Kids can be loud.

Could be either. He could be from a really loud family, so this type of communication in normal for him. Or he could have socialization development issues and he doesn’t realize it.

Or he could just be a kid getting his energy and excitement out at a playground.

My son has a friend like this. He's sweet, but is always shouting his words. I think he must have a hearing problem.

Outdoors? Normal, especially for boys. It’s the one place they can let it all out.

If it were indoors, that would be different. I’d be pretty irked.

How old is he? My 5-year-old dd is very loud. The more excited she gets, the louder she gets. We work on turning down her volume, but she’s just loud. We had her language evaluated for other reasons and it was noted by the speech pathologist as within the normal range. Some kids are just loud.

Many kids are loud, girls and boys. In fact, I’ve found girls louder. That’s the point of bringing them outdoors - to get their energy and loudness out.

A sensory problem, a hearing problem, or just how he is. But why are you aro worried about what is 'wrong' with other people's kids? Just worry about your own.

Did his loudness affect you or your children in anyway?

The football coach asked my HS DD to use her indoor voice. She was never a screamer, though. Her best friend has an even louder voice, that had sometimes bothered DD. Recently found out this girl has hearing loss, probably has for some time, so that's an explanation.

He sounds like my aunt. Loudest voice ever. The AD at my workplace is also super loud. Some people just are.
