It is your job as a parent to tame feral babies and teach them to be children other people want to be around. I have dropped friends because their children are so horrid. |
My second child is like this (a girl). We are not loud, her older sister never screams, nobody has earring problems. It might be a second child thing since I have noticed (and I have been told) that second children are louder in general... no issues |
You sound horrid. |
Yesterday I went to a winery. I was shocked at the parents who brought their LOUD toddlers. Get a babysitter. |
My oldest is noticably louder than my youngest. He does not realize it. We often remind him to lower his voice, and he always looks confused by the request, but then does lower his voice. It is like when you come out after several hours at a rock concert and don't realize how loudly you are talking. He's like that a lot.
I could see others not pointing this out to him when we aren't around and just being annoyed by it. Something is off with his internal meter, but his hearing has been checked and is fine, and the doctors see no issues, and he doesn't have any sort of diagnosis of anything. We just have to keep training him that others find his "normal voice" louder than he does and practice modulation. |
For some reason around here wineries are a family venue. It seems odd to me, but that is the culture of many wineries in the region. |
Wow! You win Most Random Attack on an Entire Group! OP, my DD had a birthday party this past weekend and 3 of the 12 girls were SO FREAKIN’ LOUD I was beginning to think at least one of them has a hearing problem. Seriously. But, some people are just loud (looking at you, SIL!!). |
No. My job was to raise them into productive, functional adults who can make and maintain healthy, solid relationships with their friends, partners, and their own children. |
It honestly doesn't sound like the kid was horrid, or even annoying, just really enthusiastic/energetic. What do you expect at a playground? |
We have a boy and girl. Both are loud. The difference is the pitch. I don't mind the loud boys. However, the girls, including my own, tend to to screech with an ear piercing shrill sound that I find horrid. We're working on it. Sigh. |
My 8 year is SO LOUD! all the time. Friends joke he has a 7-10 volume. My only explanation is his dad listens to tv on a very high volume. My son just loves life and expresses it loudly. |
