Best website for the best deal for a used or new car

I know there was thread on this but I can't find it. On which website can I find the best deal? I usually use truecar, is that still the "best" site? With the constant insecurity about being a federal worker, a good deal is a must because the insurance for my teens is insane. I am looking for Honda CRV, used, or if you can recommend which new sedans are having good deals and at which dealerships in MD preferably, I would really appreciate it.

Used - Enterprise. Check every few days as inventory always changes.

I tried that with our last car purchase but DH is adamant against it! He says people drive them insane, I pointed out that we don't when we rent, but no take.

There was just a big new article about how truecar has turned from a pro-consumer site to a tool of the auto dealers— I think they had to decide which side their bread was buttered on.

I like browsing on cars.com but don’t known if they are tue best (at least they show you prices without asking for email).
