| What are some good forums online for asking advice about setting up an aquarium. Want to do this right. Thanks! |
| I don't have any specific experience with fish, but I've started using Reddit as a resource for all sorts of things--the communities there seem to be very supportive and helpful. I bet there's a fish or aquarium subreddit with useful information and people--if you look on a computer instead of your phone they often have guides/resources posted. |

These are several fish clubs in the area. Check out the big fish deal for this club this weekend - the marketplace on Sunday is a good place to start. The members love to share their expertise.

You should be more concerned about making sure the Fish People don't find you.

Fish person here! (Raises non-webbed hand.)
Go to ReefCentral.com - any question you could have has been asked, answered, debated, etc. in their excellent forums. Aquariums are great! Don't be intimidated by saltwater, it's easier than it sounds. |
| Omg. I just want to thank the poster with the pic. That is the best thing ever! |
| Oh, I want to add the number one lesson I learned about aquariums: The $10 fish will eat the $100 fish every single time irrespective of size. |
| Fishlore.com has been really helpful for me, |

17:23 PP here. Totally agree about the $10 fish eating the $100 fish.

| Congressional Aquarium was a great resource when I had a tank. |

Tropical Lagoon (name?) on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring was very helpful to us. Plus, their fish don’t have ick, unlike the fish we got at Petco.

I came here to recommend them. They are major fish people and so helpful! |
| If you want a planted tank, I have found plantedtank.net to be an invaluable resource. |
