DS has 2 bumps next to his penis. Looks like a pimple or mosquito bite. It is itchy and bothering him. I have no idea what it is. I thought maybe beginning of chicken pox but it isn’t anywhere else.
I put some cortisone on the affected area. |
| I wouldn’t be using steroid cream in that area. Just use a regular cream and ask the doc at the next visit. |
|
OF COURSE, I would take him to the doctor. How is that even a question?
And yes, do not put the steroid cream there. |
| I would give it a week and see if it clears up. If not, I’d make a dr’s appointment. I wouldn’t be running there now though. |
| It's probably a bit of yeast infection. |
| ^^ People are reacting weirdly because it’s near the penis. That’s silly. If your DS had two of the exact same bumps on his arm, I bet no one would be like “how is this a question! Run to the doctor!” It’s still just skin. It just happens to be near the penis. |
| Put some diaper cream on it as a preventive barrier to moisture and to let his body try to clear it out on its own. |
This, a doctor is better than posting to random strangers. |
| I would certainly at the very least call... |
This, and schedule a doctor's appointment. |
| No I wouldn’t. |
| If it’s itchy and bothering him then I would take him to the doctor. My daughter had a couple of similar bumps and they turned out to be spider bites. |
| I would the advice nurse and ask what they think. We had something similar, they brought us in and gave a prescription cream to apply. If I ever in the fence I call the advice nurse and see what they say. |
