Do you urinate a lot during the period of losing weight?

During the last one week my body is on a Keto mode. I have lost 11lb in a month through fasting and diet. I am noticing that I have to pee more often even if I drink less water. I learnt from Google that you tend to pee more when you burn fat because body will discharge fat cells as CO2 via breathing and other left over via pee. Please comment if you have personally experienced this.

Yes. Your body releases water when you cut out the carbs. If you started to eat carbs again the water weight would come back on.

I drink lots of water because that helps to flush out toxins and may boost metabolism.

Insulin causes water retention. When you keep your carbs low, you also keep your insulin low, so you don’t retain as much fluid. That’s a good thing, especially for your blood pressure.

But it also means you may lose electrolytes more quickly than usual. Most people on keto take extra salt and magnesium. (I take pink salt when I’m fasting and Jericho plus magnesium every night. Without it, I get brutal leg cramps)

I drink a lot of coconut water to help me lose weight/re-hydrate and man oh man do I pee! I have to be careful to be near a bathroom for up to 2 hours after drinking a can.

I drink bone broth and electrolyte infused water.

Op here. Last night I urinated a lot. Boy o boy, I lost two lbs overnight. I had the busiest physical day. I am going to try coconut water which I believe helps to lose weight by removing sodium.

Yes. I think weight loss friendly foods make you pee more.
