I miss the close button on the top of the phone. I hate it on the right side

Updated version of the SE. Hate big phones. Kept my 5 till it died, will keep my SE till it dies.

My dream phone is one bought new (or refurbished) but is a model a couple of years older than the "latest thing." The cost is about half of the latest. I don't worry as much about loss or damage.

Now I have the iPhone 7. I was never a fan of headphone jacks because, for me, the electrical contact can get bad and resulting in intermittent sound.

Same here. I replaced the SE battery in December and am not having any phone problems, so hope I can hold onto it for a long time!

This. What is Apple thinking?? They need to hire more women.

The one that works and runs software that doesn’t incessantly create “Other” that munches so much of your memory so you no longer have a phone that works. (See criterion 1).

I used to think that about the SE . . . and then as I hit my mid-40s, I started noticing that I had to hold the phone farther and farther away to read it. Now, at 47, my 3 yo SE is still OK, but barely. My next phone will be something bigger.

And FWIW, every person I know who has an SE is a man. We keep phones in our pockets, and so want them to be smaller, while women carry them in purses.

Exactly. I need a phone I can put in my woman sized pockets (and while we're at it lets talk about the size of pockets in women's pants)

The 8 is pretty much the largest phone I can tolerate. I looked at some of the newer ones but they're just WAY too big.

A phone that isn't rendered obsolete in a couple of years because they decided to create two new models a year. Also, if you already have the camera technology in 2018, but release a phone with less impressive camera specs so you can have a newer model next year? You lost me. I had an iMac, a macbook, and an iPad, so I did an Apple phone. But, now that my ipad is non-functioning (physically it's fine, but Apple won't support that software anymore), and my macbook is an overpriced underperforming POS, and my iMac is 10 years old, I'm realizing I might need to figure out moving elsewhere.

Back to the phone, something with good battery, great camera, lower cost, and if you insist on costing me a 1000 for a phone, at least let me keep it long enough to justify the price, don't phase it out in a few years so I'm forced to upgrade.

I just want the headphone jack back! I hate the stupid dongles. And I HATE the AirPods.
