The letters have arrived. |
Intown? |
are you sure? i haven't received mine yet but i plan on not going even if we do get in as i felt like i was in the movie the stepford wives when i visited. very artificial and not real. kind of spooky. you can have my spot. |
Then why did you apply? |
Does anyone know whether the waitlist is a real one or if it is offered to everyone who was not given a spot? |
The waitlist is real. It moves a lot, usually beginning next week when all the preschool acceptances go out. |
But is it offered to everyone, do you know? |
Don't know. |
No, unfortunately. |
If you didn't get your letter yet, what should you do? Did everyone else get them?
|
18:09 poster, can you clarify? Do you mean you don't know or are you saying it is not offered to everyone? |
All children will be put on the waitlist. But not all get in, unfortunately.

i wouldn't worry about it. i wouldn't go to intown if i were you. my friend joined last year and did not like it. she ended up sending her nanny all of the time b/c she couldn't stand the "locked jaw" type as i am quoting her direclty. all they do is compare notes on who's child goes to what school and blah blah blah. i have several friends at the other two playgroups and they really recommend those groups. so my answer to you is if you applied to other playgroups and have been accepted, i'd join those before joining intown. |
I actually got my letter from Intown today, and I'm thrilled! I liked the moms I met. Sorry about your friend though. Hope she finds a better place for her and her child. |
In light of the NCRC thread re: 2 different waitlist letters, I wonder if everyone got the same waitlist letter for Intown? Ours was extremely optimistic -- I'm interested to hear what the other letters were like. |
