But I have hair on my breasts around the nipples. Does anyone else have this problem?
I hate it and it is really embarrassing for me. Please no insults as this is a difficult subject, but I would like to know if other women have this problem. |
| I don't think you should be embarrassed or ashamed. It is not uncommon, and you should definitely let your doctors know and see if they can help you. I am sure they have seen it before. If it bothers you, please seek help from them. They will know how to help and what direction to guide you in. |

It's very common. Don't worry and please don't be embarassed. I have the same problem -- I pluck them.
It can be related to hormonal imbalances -- e.g. if this is new for you and/or accompanied by increase in hair growth in other areas or menstrual irregularities. If you are concerned about it don't hesitate to bring it up to your doctor. I guarantee they've seen that and much worse in a typical day. |
| I've always had a few and never thought twice about it. I just pluck them. |
| I've got 'em and I pluck them. |
| Me too |
| me too, i'm a hariy German, I pluck em. Sometimes one or two rebels and get long and crazy. Wild and Wooley I am! |
| I pluck them too! |
| had them and plucked them. But, interestingly enough, now that I had a baby, I don't get them anymore...and my period is a lot more regular. Strange......hormones |

Most women have hair around their nipples. Totally normal.

| Thanks everyone! This makes me feel much, much better! I've always been very self-conscious about it, but I will bring it up with the doc. |
| I believe it is a result of estrogen (dang hormones!). Normal. |
| Used to have them, pre-baby. Very common, OP. |

Yeah, I have those too. Plus, I have dark hair, so they're totally obvious. I totally understand your frustration!
Never thought to pluck them though. I normally just leave them along, but I might give that a try. |
