Anonymous
Would any one have the number of kids admitted to TJ last year from Nysmith, Basis and Flint Hill. Specifically looking only for these schools. Thank you

About 1/3 of the graduating class from Nysmith go to TJ, not sure about the other two schools.

Someone just answered on the other link and said 2 or 3!!! You are saying 1/3rd. Which is true

My child’s year had two or three kids from Nysmith, maybe four at the start but at least one left TJ and went someplace else. My child was good friends with one of the kids, so knew the others also.

It was certainly not 20.

I don’t know anything about the other schools.

PP 15:48 is correct but not all the kids are planning to go to TJ.

That is just semi finalists, not accepted students. Most of the semi finalists do not end up being accepted.

Actually, I'm currently a freshman at TJ who went to Nysmith K-8 and the Nysmith class of 2018 only had 5 kids get in (including me) and 4 kids actually go (one chose to go to Sidwell instead).

Most of the Nysmith class of 2018 chose private school. A lot of the parents are concerned about school safety in public school.

Lolololoz. No. Only if the entire class is 12 kids. Many years Nysmith is posted as “ts” too small to register without giving away PII. Ts is five or less.

Basis and Flint ahill are always ts. Most years no private gets above ts.

That’s because most of the kids don’t get into TJ. Semi finalist=/= admitted. But a long shot.
