| What are you all doing to get your kids the shot. Our allergist is not offering it. The allergist will allow it to be brought to the office to be tested and administered but will not be getting it in. Her pediatrician will not let us take it out of the office. What have others done. Does anyones allergist have it. |

We're in the same spot -- allergist did not apply for it and therefore does not have a supply, and the pediatrician's office is required to administer their supply on-site. No cash and carry like the regular flu vaccine.
Therefore, we're having our pediatrician administer the vaccine without a skin test beforehand. It's a bit of a gamble, but DC hasn't reacted to the regular flu vaccines. Also, the pediatrician is requiring a full day of Benadryl beforehand (4 doses) plus some sort of steroid she's calling in to the pharmacy. We'll see how it goes . . . . |
| I believe Dr. Johnson in Fairfax has it. I can't say for sure as I wasn't in the office for that reason, but am certain I overheard another parent talking who was there to get it for her DS who has an egg allergy. |
