Do men notice the difference between natural and fake beauty?

Anonymous
Just posted a thread about natural beauty in the “Beauty and Fashion” forum. Can men tell the difference between natural and fake beauty (fake noses, tits, lips, eyelashes, etc)? Do they care?

Don't care, love technology

I would never consent to elective surgery, but honestly, I couldn't care less what others do. There is no fake or natural, just beauty.

How do you define that, then?

It's beautiful to want to look beautiful. Attractiveness is in attitude just as much as genetics.

Beauty? In the eye of the beholder. I don't have the same tastes as you, probably. But on a basic level, even and healthy skin, symmetrical features, toned body. And then I don't like strong noses or eyes too close together, but that's just me. In terms of aging, well, youthfulness is always better but it has to be tasteful.

This is a good question to weed the superficial out of the pack. You are obviously young and superficial.

So personality has no impact on attraction? Even if the woman is attractive in natural way?

The whole question is superficial. It is purely about appearances, nothing else. Personally, I don't care for obvious makeup or cosmetic surgery, but, both can be done in a more subtle manner and give a nice result. Everything in moderation. Don't make yourself look inhuman

“Fake” beauty looks very different on a screen than in real life. My DH notices false lashes, thick eyebrows, that black cat eye liner, lip injections, and Botox in real life but doesn’t notice them on tv unless I point it out. A lot of women and girls nowadays are trying to look like those on screens without realizing those things often look terrible in real life.

As for what men prefer, that’s individual. I’ve known men who like the fake look and men who hate it.

I so wish my GF would get Botox and I'd be glad to pay for it. Just don't know how she would react if I bring it up.

That said, whatever a woman does to enhance her beauty is fine with me. Make-up, minor surgery, it's all good.

This isn't a clear dichotomy. Not all plastic surgery is noticeable. FTR, I have never so much as dyed my hair, so I'm not getting defensive about my own choices or anything. But many people look different than they would have based on genetics alone, and you wouldn't know it.

I don't have enough gray hair yet to dye it, but I probably will...I don't know if people will think that's "fake" or not.

Me thinks too much make-up looks the worst. Like drama performance make-up every day or night. yuk.

Natural beauty is better. Then you don't have to wait around forever while she makes herself up before going out.

Your DH does not notice these things on real women or tv. You notice and point it out to him. He nods in agreement.
