Another (new) Odyssey or VW Alta

Out Odyssey is 8 years old and has seen better days. So we want to buy a new car. This has been a dream in terms of space for passengers and cargo: you hardly need to think about how to organize your things; and if you *do* need to bring the kitchen sink, you can, and still have a spacious rise for two growing kids. Also love the sliding doors. Our garage is tight and so are parking garages around town, even in the suburbs.
That said, I feel like we are in a rut and I’m curious about the VW Alta. Anyone on this forum have experience with both vehicles? What would I miss if I switched? And would the VW make economic sense? (Honda’s seems to hold their value and are reliable..) |

| VW is junk and will definitely not last 8 years. If you get the VW, lease it. |
