Infertility Support and Discussion

i just took a HPT and got a bfp! but i am worried that it is too early to tell. my blood test is next monday 11/16; my 5 day transfer was on 11/1 (transferred 2 blasts) and my HCG shot is was on 10/25....
this is my 2nd IVF fresh cycle, and in total have had 4 iui's and 2 fresh cycles, and 1 frozen. all other times i took an hpt and it was always bfn... but ... am taking 300 mg of progesterone and estrogen 2x a day... false positive? i know i shouldn't have taken the stupid thing- nothing good can potentially come from it (could be false + or -), but i am just dying to know...i do feel different than any other time we have done any cycle but i haven't ever taken endometrin before (only prometrium). also aware that every "symptom" i have could be a side effect. what do you think? ugh i wish i could go get a blood test! |
| It sounds like a true positive to me. The HCG should be out of your system in 10 days. You 9dp5dt, that should be enough time to get an accurate HPT. Congratulations. Maybe you can get an earlier beta scheduled. Over two weeks past transfer seems like a long time to wait. |
| HPT addict here and My one and only + was evident by 9dp3dt so it's probably good. |
| I got my first faint BFP (also my second IVF cycle) 4dp6dt (so 5dp5dt). The lines kept getting darker after that so I knew it wasn't the trigger. My tests were always BFN before this time around. I think SG (assuming that's where you go) makes you wait so long so they can see what your beta is and make sure it is not a chemical. It seems like forever though. Hopefully you will have good news soon! |

Yes I'm at sg, they said 18 dp er and that is actually Saturday...and they only do them m-f. I'm out of town now...so will have to wait.
I appreciate the encouragement!!! Any other stories are welcome!!! |
| I feel pretty comfortable that this is a true positive -- congrats! |
| Congrats, sounds like a true + to me! And don't be concerned if you take other tests and the tests are lighter, then darker, then lighter. With my successful twin IVF pregnancy I swear the tests got lighter, not darker. Weird! |
