We have no Alexa devices right now but I am thinking of getting DD the Dot for the music.
Does it just have all this stuff available? or do I need to have music accounts I pay for and thats where the music comes from? |
| The Google Home system is better, we have multiple of both systems and time and time again Google has proven to be superior. There is a small Google device similar to the dot. |
Alexa can access whatever music accounts you want to link to it. Spotify and the like have free versions for streaming music. |
|
I use Pandora (free) for most of my music. We have two of them in the house. They are handy to have.

If you want to select songs you need a paid music account.
Google home plays Spotify and pandora Radio, stations based on artist. Echo dot only plays pandora radio. Google play lets you upload music, unclear if you can stream it. |

Op here. Tks everyone. Ill look at Google as well then.
I thought the Alexa devices played Amazon music too? Does Google do that? |
Amazon music, you mean with prime? Yes Alexa/echo alone does that. |
Where do you buy one of these? |
Paying for prime music on the dot/Alexa is SO worth it. I hate that I can't do it in my car. We listen to both Pandora and prime music through the Dot. I love Alexa. We now have 4 throughout the house and all of us listen to different things. |
