When is the safest time to drive today?

I need to visit an elderly relative today sometime before 5pm but scared of the slippery roads. When would be the best time to drive from Annandale to Oakton?

Seriously, OP, you're fine. Drive slowly and avoid sharp braking or acceleration. We have one inch of snow in the area at most; this is really par for the course winter weather.

Thank you! Later in the day is better for me but I am worried about slippery roads. Good to know they are ok now

I just got home and the roads were fine. They were a little slippery when I went out at 9:15.

They were a little slippery when I left home at 7 today but they are fine now.

So I'd use the rule I use every single day: the most pleasant and safest time to drive is when it isn't rush hour.
