Fairfax- thimerosal free for under 2's?

Anonymous
On the website it says that they have some thimerosal free shots with "trace" amounts of thimerosal. I thought the one with trace amounts was Novartis. Does anyone know if such a shot exists for kids under 2? Or can anyone who has been to Fairfax confirm that they have thimerosal free for kids under 2?

There are NO vaccines yet for h1n1 that are totally thimerisol free. The best you can find for anyone is the version with trace amounts.

The Novartis shot is not approved for kids under 2. Only 2 of the Sanofi Pasteur shots -- (1) the multi-dose (with thimerosal, which is available), and (2) the single-dose pink pre-filled syringe (without thimerosal, but not yet available) -- are approved for under 2.

The PP's post of the link (http://www.fda.gov/BiologicsBloodVaccines/Vaccines...onsaboutVaccines/ucm186102.htm) is is a good one, it contains the package inserts, which reflect approve age groups for each formulation.

No, we asked, but they were not doing the thimerosal free (Sanofi) at the fairfax clinic I went to for the under 2 group.
