| On the website it says that they have some thimerosal free shots with "trace" amounts of thimerosal. I thought the one with trace amounts was Novartis. Does anyone know if such a shot exists for kids under 2? Or can anyone who has been to Fairfax confirm that they have thimerosal free for kids under 2? |
| There are NO vaccines yet for h1n1 that are totally thimerisol free. The best you can find for anyone is the version with trace amounts. |

The Novartis shot is not approved for kids under 2. Only 2 of the Sanofi Pasteur shots -- (1) the multi-dose (with thimerosal, which is available), and (2) the single-dose pink pre-filled syringe (without thimerosal, but not yet available) -- are approved for under 2.
The PP's post of the link (http://www.fda.gov/BiologicsBloodVaccines/Vaccines...onsaboutVaccines/ucm186102.htm) is is a good one, it contains the package inserts, which reflect approve age groups for each formulation. |

No, we asked, but they were not doing the thimerosal free (Sanofi) at the fairfax clinic I went to for the under 2 group.
