thoughts on boys name Rhys?

Like / don't like / associations?

it'd be helpful if you include a couple names you do like to get a sense of what types of names you go for. I'm 38 weeks and getting desperate to pick something.

It sounds more like a girls name to me, but in general I’m very neutral towards it - don’t love it or hate it.

I know a Rhys. I really like it.

My son is Reece. He doesn't like his name but I love it and people always tell me they like the name. I regret not spelling it Rhys. I almost spelled it that way, but went with Reece instead.

I like it. My DD has a little boy in her preschool class with this name, though he spells is Reese.

I'd be prepared for people to not know how to say it. And say things like Ryes instead.

But I think it's a solid, classic name that's a bit trendy right now.

I tend to love old man names, to give you an idea of what I generally like.

If you like Rhys you might like some of the popular names of brothers of Rhys: http://www.babynamewizard.com/baby-name/boy/rhys

My associations are a few girls and young women I know named Reese and the actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Love Rhys

Have a son named Julian. If second had been a boy, we were going with Everett.

Love it! We were so close to naming our son that.

Sounds really affected.

Lots of people are going to pronounce it "Rice".
