has DC rescheduled Christmas tree pick-up?

Our tree is still on the curb along with several others in the block.
The original pick-up day (Jan. 15th or so?) was cancelled as the trees were under a foot of snow.

Original pickup was supposed to be 1/14. Ours was picked up on 1/28. Ridiculous. I was done with it on 1/2!

ours was moved from the ally to the curb last week - still sitting there.

It is like the leaf collection schedule - sometime around the scheduled date - but probably a few weeks after.

I never understood why the initial pickup date (1/14) was so late to begin with. Who is leaving their tree up for two weeks after the new year?

It isn't a pick up day; it is a pick up window that lasts a few weeks and started on the 14th.

We recently got rid of our tree in Bethesda. It got picked up with the regular yard trim last week. The reason we keep it for a long time is that we cut it ourselves after Thanksgiving and put it in water - so it doesn't dry out.
