Infertility Support and Discussion
Thanks for answering my repeated questions.
|
I am a very happy 40+ graduate of Dominion Fertility's IVF program. Boy/Girl twins from an egg collection one day prior to my 42nd birthday.
They also have their new IVF Hope-Natural Cycle IVF program for women of AMA and diminished ovarian reserve. They also have really good stats for DE, if you are going that route. My Doc was Dr. Gordon...loved him. |
If willing to travel, Dr Davis at Cornell is considered one of the top doctors for treating older women.
I'm 39 and had success with Dr. Gordon at Dominion Fertility using NCIVF with ICSI for male factor, as well as my age I had high FSH-15 and other signs of DOR....He's the best in our area.
What is DOR?
DOR=Diminished ovarian reserve
I would add Dr Sacks at Columbia Fertility Associates in DC.
As a former SG patient I concur that Dr. Sacks CFA and Dr. Gordon DF are your best bet in DC if you are a difficult case....absolutely steer clear of SG DC office!
If you only have time/money for one cycle, I'd bring out the big guns and go to Cornell/Dr. Davis. He gets better results with harder cases than anyone in the DC area.
I'd at least get a consult from Muasher and Dominion.
Oh, I would NOT go to Muasher. He is so out of date. I consulted with him before going to CCRM and there were a number of things he did or belived that aren't done or accepted any more. Plus, I can't see how he can maintain an excellent quality lab with so few patients (read such a small income stream). The quality of the lab means a lot when you're older and your eggs are more fragile.
PP, who did you see at CCRM? I am about to schedule a consult there. (I am 33 but seem to be responding as if i were 10 years older...) Thanks (and sorry to hijack!)
I agree with PP, Muasher is not up to par with DF, SG, or GIVF, and I would know since I unfortunately cycled with them all...
Who does GIVF stand for?
Genetics and IVF inst in Fairfax
