| Who owns the Dulles Toll Road, the Dulles Access Road and the Dulles Greenway? |
| Duh! The Devil |
| The Greenway is privately held, the others are owned by a mix of WMATA and VDOT. |
| Hate the toll hike since 1/1/19. |
The access road and toll road are owned by Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. The greenway is a private entity, with several investment firms owning pieces (of the entity - the entity owns the whole greenway) |
| Rate went up from $2.5 to $3.25 to travel about 1-2 miles for me today. Caught me by sirprise. How does one even find out about increases! |
Wrong. Virginia owns all of these toll roads. Do some reading |
It's right on their website, top and center: https://www.dullestollroad.com/toll/toll-rates |
And the increases are always widely publicized if you follow ANY sort of local news (print, radio, social media.) I knew about the increase and I don’t even use those roads. |
|
I believe most of the toll money goes to a foreign toll company (Australian maybe?)
Most of the toll money does not come back to Virginia. It goes overseas. |
Virginia owns the roads, but not the tolls. The tolls go to a private company. |
Shut up. The PP was right. Do some reading. https://www.dullestollroad.com/toll/about-dulles-toll-road
|
| Why did they build the Dulles Toll Road? It should really be an interstate. |
Not the Dulles Toll Road. It goes to MWAA (airport authority) and is partly used to fund the Silver Line. |
