We love ours. DS (large for his age) slept in it from 7-10 mo b/c of an international move (waiting for the crib to arrive). It fits in a large suitcase and is light enough to haul around anywhere, which we still do, for example if we're going to a friend's house during nap time. It's easier to open than to close, but even closing is easier than packing up a Pack n Play (which we also own).
The sheets are sized specifically for a Baby Bjorn travel crib so you have to spring for them. None of it was cheap, but it was worth every penny for us. If you have the money and think you will get some use out of it beyond this trip, it could be worth it for you as well.
