| Just got a new job and will be taking Metro downtown most mornings. I live more or less between these two stations and am trying to figure out my commuting options. Talking post-shutdown obviously, although who knows if I’ll start before that happens. |
| Bump. I’d be getting to the Metro around this time, between 8 and 8:15. Will I find parking? I know Wheaton would have plenty of space, but there’s been too much crime in that garage for me to be comfortable using it. |

That's a might big 'in- between'
One is Silver Spring and the other is in Rockville. |
| Forest Glen still fine at that hour. |
I don’t think you’re from here. Most of Kensington is in between. Me too. |

At the moment grosvenor is ok for parking in the morning up to 9? But once feds go back to work will be a different story. You won’t get a parking spot after 8:15. |
LOL!!! No kidding -- I actually right by one of those metro stations. My point if you are smack dab in between those two and you have to drive to one, you might as well drive to work. |
| Forest Glen (when the government is open) is full by 8:50 or so. Right now, you can roll in after 9 and find plenty of spots. |
| Thanks for the info. Yes, I live in Kensington, actually closest to the Wheaton station. It looks like some people park at the mall. I'd feel safer in a surface lot than the garage (and I'd save money, but that is a lesser reason for me). Anyone do this? Any repercussions? |
That’s just stupid. |
I have been parking at Whetaon metro garage every working day for the past 9 years without incident. |
That’s my experience too. Fridays in general are a bit lighter as well. |
