What bugs are going around DC?

Toddler had intermittent vomiting and has now been lethargic for 2-3 days. Had a fever briefly a few days ago. Sleeping a lot.

My DS had the same thing. Pediatrician just said stomach virus, give lots of fluids but no dairy. It's terrible.

NP here. How much did tour DC throw up? I’m Following this - we are in NOVA merrifield area and my toddler has been sick since Sunday with intermittent stomach pain and seems very uncomfortable and upset at times especially at night- inahent slept in 2 nights. However he hasn’t thrown up at all. Decreased appetite but drinking fluids and not real fever. Dr said doesn’t suspect anything alarming and maybe just a virus or constipation. I do think it’s odd tho no vomiting and regular, formed bowel moments.

My four year old feels achy with a low grade fever, and ear pain when she moves. Is watching tv and eating some. No cold symptoms. May do doctor tomorrow.

This was going around my daycare in DC- hit every kid a little different. Some just stomach pains, some throwing up, some diarrhea

We are in NoVa. Both kids have diarrhea but otherwise feel fine.

Pp here - that’s good to know since I’ve been worried about the odd symptoms of just random stomach pain. Any idea how long it lasted? We are headed towards day 4 which seems terribly long for gastro virus.

It’s a virus people. You treat them all the same. Medicine to ease pain, lots of liquids and rest. Treat fever accordingly and make sure not dehydrated. I don’t get why people always want to know which virus it is. It doesn’t matter

Possibly because we are concerned for our beloved children. We want to make sure that get healthy and that there isn’t something more serious at hand. If you don’t have something nice to say keep it to yourself please. You’re not obligated to post anything.

Pp here. Sorry, OP! This is the longest and weirdest virus for us and has me stressed out that we need to see dr again or do further trsting. I just want it to be over! Hope your DC feels better soon!
