There is a lot of voting but I don't know what they are voting for. What is going on?

Yes but he says he is going to vote yes to vote to the floor with the agreement of a week long vote.

Flake outflaked himself. This is exactly the grandstanding he did for Tax Scam vote.

How is it OK to corner a guy in a room and bully him to change his vote?

What a joke. Run everyone through the muck some more? Midterm campaigning at its best!

Fascinating how Dems are so good at things, like attacking others, being unpatriotic, etc. YET, they couldn't fix the election with their evil. For all the evil, conniving, wonderfully orchestrated Democratic plots, they couldn't fake plant evidence on Kavanaugh, they couldn't get HRC in the White House, they just somehow sweep the country, one evil dark cloud at a time, looking for innocent Republicans to destroy.

Thank you, Senator Flake.

He left the room of his own accord and requested a private conversation. It was all him.

Flake taking on the mantle of McCain. MVP of the day. Saving the dignity of America, maybe for one day.

Better than cornering a girl in a room and attacking her.

Means some FBI agents are going to have a not so fun weekend starting NOW. Plus lots of calls and lobbying from both parties. Total mess got even messier.

Okay, so we know Brett is on here.

AWESOME! At least one Republican thinks that sexual assault accusations are worth investigating thoroughly before giving someone a lifetime job.

In a dramatic reversal, Senator Jeff Flake, the lone swing Republican on the Judiciary Committee, said on Friday that he would vote to advance Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s nomination in the committee, but wants a one-week delay before the full Senate vote to allow the F.B.I. time to investigate accusations of sexual assault leveled against Judge Kavanaugh.

Mr. Flake, an Arizona Republican, had said in a statement Friday morning that he would vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, less than 24 hours after a remarkable public hearing with a woman accusing him of sexual assault.

But after hushed negotiations with Democrats outside the hearing room, Mr. Flake, who is retiring at the end of the term, chose a different course. His decision threw the the nomination into uncertainty just moments before the panel was set to vote.
