I’m quite liberal and agree that his using “illegal” instead of “immigrant” was a poor choice of words, but really, nothing to elevate. We are on the verge of turning into an authoritarian run county and far left complaining about this? Really, priorities people!

You really don't want to oversell Trump's performance - undersell it. Say it doesn't matter how well he does at the debate because you love him anyway (gross). Make excuses for why he won't do well - those radical prosecutors are trying to distract him or his wife keeps changing her name and he can't remember if it's Malignant or Mercedes anymore - then you can crow when he doesn't take an actual sh** on the stage.
