Yet many of these same Republicans tried to impeach, fine and expel Adam Schiff for far less than what Santos did.

Look what they did to Liz Cheney? Republican royalty. There. Is. No. Bottom.

Anyone have any guesses as to who?

Trump PAC. Kevin McCarthy.

So if they withdraw does santos need to go to jail?

Sounds like it.

what exactly did they claim schiff did?

Oh, wait - I looked up the Schiff stuff.

Fitting that the claims of lying are brought by a congresswoman who lied about her backstory to get elected.

Does he go tomorrow at noon? His district would like to see that. Does he still get paid on our dime if he is in jail?

Last chance for speculation about who provided bail for this sorry excuse for a representative.

It was his dad and his aunt.

Who are both hourly workers. Who gave them $500,000?

But who gave them the money?! Follow the trail of breadcrumbs, 'cause no way did those 2 have assets to back the bond.

Didn't Santos say he would go to jail rather than have their identities revealed? I'm shocked he lied. Completely out of character.

LOL. Who knew he even had a father? It sounded like George/Anthony and his mother moved back and forth from NY to Brazil, grifting in both places until her untimely death on 9-11. Poor George was left to grift alone.

It turns out that they signed a surety and didn’t actually give the court cash. There should be an investigation into who promised to reimburse them. This seems like corruption on the part of the magistrate judge. I want to know a lot more about his hourly worker father.

Can anyone explain this? If they did not actually provide the bail...why is he walking around free?

Not PP but I think the idea is that yes, they provided the $500,000 but there’s no way that a house painter and a mail handler would have $500,000, so someone must have given it to them.

No money was provided as all. They just go after these two for it if needed. What a lot of fuss over nonsense. It seems Santos wanted attention on these two after all. Who knows what kind of con game this is. Hopefully he will out of office in jail or dismissed ASAP.
