The Secret Service has corroborated that Trump wanted to go to the Capitol and was pissed when Engel said it wasn’t happening. Engel has said the same. Trump has said the same. McEnany has said the same. Others also. It isn’t disputed. The only dispute is over details of whatever story Engel told Ornato and how Ornato told Engel’s story to Hutchinson.

Watch the whole 2 hours of the hearing. It’s not about the steering wheel.

The classic method of a hearing, which to have the small fry testify so they can implicate the bigger fry in the hope that they will testify and incriminate the big fish, has worked in the past. But the Trump group is one tough nut to crack, PP. And the fact that the trumpers can only talk about the steering wheel must mean they don't want to touch the rest of it. She never even said he grabbed the wheel. She just said that she was told that story.
