Okcupid and search parameters on age

I noticed that so many middle-aged men on OKCupid have set their search parameters to include women that are at least 15 to 20 years younger than them. It's almost creepy. . . Why do you think a woman your age will find you attractive if they can see that you are trolling the preschool playground for friends?

On OK Cupid I put the age range that I was seeking, 50-69 year old women. OKCupid identified 6 for me...not 6 who liked my profile, but 6 in the entire DMV area who fit that criteria. I don’t think the dating site is money well spent. Let my subscription lapse.

Like they tell us, you are being much too picky if you can only find 9 women in the DMV on that site.

There was another recent thread about age ranges for online dating...lots of responses.

I'm on OKCupid and have been on and off for years. It's a free site, and I'm a 45 yr old female. No way were there only 6 women in a 19 year age range. I call BS.

Yeah, he’s filtering for 6-foot-tall Irish Hindu chain smokers within only a 2-mile radius. Turn that off and you get hundreds.

I'm 53, and plenty of 30 year old women do. Even the ones who say they won't date anyone over 40.

Men do it more, but it's telling either way. It's one of the big no nos in creating a dating profile. I helped a good friend and we had many good laughs. The bathroom shots, wife beaters, and yes the 50 yr olds putting 25 as the lowest they would date, LOL. Creeper are on all the sites.
